My 30 hp Mercury outboard won't start. I have replaced the spark plugs, but it still won't start. I replaced the coil (second hand) last December, and it worked. I am not sure the issue now is related to the coil.

We had an unfortunate anchor tangle and collision with the splash board of a launch that dragged back onto us (we are a Bavaria 37) during some large gusts. Attached is a photo of the damage which needs repairing ASAP, but is above the waterline and covered with duct tape, so not critical.
