Earthquake strengthen piles

Our home is a wooden villa and is about 100 years old. It has been repiled at some stage (before we bought it 6 years ago). The piles look in good condition. But I would like the existing piles' connection to the house strengthened to hopefully withstand a really big earthquake. Our house came through the recent Kaikoura earthquake well. There is no damage to the current piles. I am just trying as best I can to earthquake strengthen the house for the BIG one.
