We have a metal gate attached to a concrete pillar which swings in to latch closed into a hole drilled into the summerhill stone of our exterior wall. Due to the Christchurch earthquake we had a new driveway laid and the gate is now too low and will not close. It scrapes against the higher level of concrete. We want to have the concrete pillar and gate removed and relocated further down the driveway. When relocated the pillar will not be driven down as far as it is now, with the result that the gate will be able to clear the surface of the concrete. We will also need a new hole drilled in the summerhill stone to accommodate the bolt to lock the gate into the side of the house.
