Driveway fix-up

We had some drainage repairs done and a strip was cut out of the driveway, filled in with compacted aggregate which we have left for a few years and the weeds have grown. Some of the aggregate will need to be removed to get enough depth for the concrete (100mm?). We would prefer concrete over asphalt as we understand it's less likely to crack over time with movement etc. The strip is 9m long by 40-50cm wide.
