Ceiling repair

Kia ora, we've just moved into a new place and discovered a ceiling leak hidden above a false panel (!!) in the linen cupboard. It is around about where the villa part of the house meets an extension (extension done around year 2000). We need it fixed. The roof is old and is being fixed in mid April. Dimensions of the area are around 300mm by 400mm.
