we have bought a french door and frame, and need to have it put into the downstairs room, entering the garden. the room does not have another door, so the wall will have to be openend in order to have the new door put in. on the outside of the wall there is some electrical cable from the spa pool that will have to be moved up higher first. I guess 2 jobs for 2 different tradesman, unless you are an electrican and a builder..

World's ugliest fireplace tiles

We are installing a new woodburner mid may and at about the same time we want to replace the tiles around it (as they are so ugly). We have been told this can (and should) happen after the woodburner has been installed. We are thinking about replacing the white tiles with a teracotta looklikes for the face and brown ones for the floor. We are flexable, but keen to do it.

Deck , french doors and external window cills

I need 2 exterior window cills replaced due to rot. I want my exisiting deck to be extended with rails / seating and have french doors put in my lounge onto the deck. At present there is a large window where we want the door to go , so dont have doors yet as I need to know what size I have to work with first before I get the doors , so the wall needs to be cut out as well to suit.

My Aluminium roof leaks, not much just when rain and wind combine!! It has been looked at and was told that all seemed good with the roof only issue is likely that as it was nailed on that some of these have lifted due to expansion with sun & heat. None seem bad. Suggestion was to remove nails replace with screws. Approx 1500 to do.
