This client had a lovely veranda that ran along one side of their house and led out onto the backyard. The problem was it was too narrow for outdoor entertaining and the original decking was very weathered. One of the concerns for the client was they wanted the deck space, but didn't want to lose too much of the backyard or original garden beds. So after a bit of discussing and brainstorming, we came up with a plan to extend out half of the veranda creating an L-shape deck space, giving the client an outdoor dining area while still maintaining enough grass area for the little ones to run around.

Even the smallest change can elevate a space. In this project, the client wanted to take their empty front lawn space and create a beautiful front entrance. They came to us with a couple of pathway images from Pinterest and a sketch on a Google Maps screenshot. We then got to work making their idea a reality!

Couldn’t be happier with Phoenix - even though my first few jobs with them were quite small, they interpreted what I wanted beautifully, were on time, on budget, detail focused with great finishing - and even cleaned up after themselves with vacuuming & wiping down. Dan and crew did a great job. I had started the work and knew exactly what I wanted. Dan brought both new insights and flexibility meaning we got what I wanted with some improvements. The few things I wanted done differently were updated even after final payment - very much appreciated.
