Set within a rural Bay of Plenty site, this minor dwelling (granny flat) is designed as a dual-purpose space that functions as both a home office and secondary accommodation. The building responds to the natural slope with a simple, efficient form, while a palette of dark metal and natural cedar shiplap creates a cohesive relationship with the existing dwelling. Thoughtfully planned and highly adaptable, the design demonstrates how small-scale architecture can deliver flexible, high-quality living in a rural setting.
