Raise Sewer Gully Traps

Project description

This client received a request from Auckland Council to raise the height of the two gully traps to stop surface water entering the sewer system. As both were in concrete I recommended installing to new risers to avoid a costly concrete cutting job. The new D shaped risers fit around the top of the old gully dish's and are sealed with cement mortar to keep out the surface water. I installed two new aluminum grates to complete the upgrade. This was a really cost effective way to comply with councils requirements.
