Project description

Client approached me wanting to convert the empty space underneath property into a workshop for their special effects business.
After consulting a structural engineer and getting the all clear, I dug out nearly 2 tonnes of dirt by hand (!) and loaded it out of the basement and upstairs into the skip.
I then added a moisture barrier, constructed the sub-floor framing and laid recycled decking boards as per clients request to use reclaimed materials where possible.
Next I manufactured the workbench to the clients wishes, finished with 18mm Plywood and plenty of storage underneath.
Finally I added some extra interior wall insulation and a safety handrail.
Client is happy with the finished product and we are looking forward to the next exciting project - the bathroom renovation!
