Project description
This 255sqm architectural new build in the stunning and remote Marlborough Sounds is a testament to precision planning and teamwork. Situated on a site accessible only by boat, the project posed unique challenges that required exceptional logistics and coordination.
Macalister Construction worked closely alongside the main contractor to bring this high-end design to life. All materials were transported via barge, meaning every detail had to be meticulously planned to avoid delays. Despite the remote location and logistical hurdles, the team’s dedication and streamlined building systems ensured the project progressed seamlessly.
The clients set a strict deadline of Christmas Day for practical completion, adding an extra layer of urgency to the build. Through extended hours and a relentless focus on efficiency, the team successfully delivered this ambitious project on time, meeting the high standards expected of an architecturally designed home.
