I have worked for years in both residential and commercial building and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the building industry. Founded in 2021, Turnbuilding is a small family building company dedicated to the art and craft of fine carpentry.
From large house alterations, renovations and restricted building work to the smallest of maintenance work, we approach every project as a unique opportunity to provide a professional, custom and enjoyable experience.

A Small Part of a Large Renovation
This was a large renovation I contracted to. The owner bought a beautiful, old house and wanted to renovate to suit their family. This was their kitchen renovation.
Doorway Eliminated
This was part of a kitchen renovation that I was contracting to at the time. The owner wanted to remove the doorway and get a close match to the existing cladding.
Kitchen Renovation
These owners needed a more functional kitchen/dining space. The existing kitchen was a very small space, it had very little storage and no pantry. There was a partition wall between the kitchen and living room that made it feel like a very tight space. We removed the original kitchen and partition wall to make an open plan kitchen. We removed the hot water cylinder and got it moved under the house and used the space to create a pantry, which the original kitchen lacked. We removed the carpet on the living room side of the partition, to allow space for a dining area.
Pergola
This owner wanted a Pergola/shelter entranceway to enhance the aesthetic of the property entrance, while offering the practicality of a dry space to store items sit on a rainy day.
Catio
This client had indoor cats, she wanted them to have a safe outdoor space, so we built a catio on the side of her house for the cats to come and go freely.
Fence Replacement
This owners fence was destroyed by the Wellington wind. I installed a stronger, longer lasting fence in its place.
