At D&S Signature Painting, we specialise in interior and exterior painting, plastering, and surface preparation for both older homes and new-build properties across Auckland.

Our focus is on clear pricing, correct preparation, and reliable workmanship. We believe a good paint job starts long before the first coat is applied, which is why we place strong emphasis on surface condition, moisture control, and correct paint systems—especially for older houses.

Exterior painting: $40 – $80 per floor sqm

Skim coating: $35 – $50 per wall sqm

Interior plastering: ~$30 per wall sqm

Wallpaper removal: ~$10 per wall sqm

Deck painting / staining: from $800 (standard deck approx. 20–30 sqm)

Interior painting: $45 – $55 per floor sqm

Cove installation: ~$10 per metre

We review surface condition, moisture risk, previous coatings, and access requirements before confirming scope and pricing.

2️⃣ Preparation

Sanding, scraping, and cleaning

Filling holes, gaps, and defects (contract filler / builders filler)

Sealing bare or problem areas where required

3️⃣ Plastering / Skim Coating (if applicable)

One base coat where needed

Two finish coats

Full sanding for a smooth, paint-ready surface

4️⃣ Painting System

Correct primer or sealer (oil-based or water-based depending on area)

Two full top coats

Products selected based on room use (wet areas, living areas, exterior exposure)

5️⃣ Final Check & Clean-Up
We inspect coverage, finish consistency, and tidy up the site before handover.

Exterior Soffit and Trim Repaint – No Scaffolding Required

This exterior painting project focused on refreshing the soffits and trims of a modern brick home. The exterior showcases a refined combination of Resene Merino and Shuttle Grey, creating a clean contrast that highlights the architectural lines while maintaining a timeless, elegant street appeal. Inside, the walls are finished in Resene Half Sea Fog and Double Sea Fog, delivering a fresh, bright, and airy atmosphere that enhances natural light and makes every space feel open and inviting. The subtle tonal differences between the two shades add depth and sophistication, ensuring the interiors feel both modern and warm.
