Shower handle leaking, need a quick fix

Provided a quote of 300 and asked for money to be transferred asap. Came around and then said that he was not able to find the part and was not worth his time. Wasted 1 hour of my time. Next day, another handyman who KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING fixed it up for just $100, with a cost of $44 for the part from Bunnings.
