2023 NZ Master Landscapes 'Silver' Award

All aspects of Landscaping and Earthworks.

Gareth has recently decided to go out on his own (August 2024) after 20 years of experience in the Building Industry and has been living in New Zealand for the past 8 years while being initially sponsored for his work as a Landscape Construction Foreman for a high-end residential landscape construction company in Auckland.

In this role he has had the pleasure of working with some of New Zealand's best Architects on some high-value and award-winning projects. Two projects managed by Gareth were put forward for the '2023 NZ Master Landscape Awards' with one project taking silver.

His experience is vast and carries weight across multiple trades and all aspects of Landscaping, from Project Management to Earthworks and Heavy Machinery Operation, Drainage, Concreting, Carpentry, Paving and Masonry work.

"I find the best way to deliver a satisfying project for both parties is to be transparent and upfront. Charging my time out at an hourly rate, while providing my client with recommendations for materials and/or any hire equipment needed (if necessary) and a material list. This can be sourced together (if necessary) and purchased at trade price without the added margins that are usually charged. This maintains an honest and transparent working relationship, where the client pays a flat hourly rate and knows exactly where their money is spent with no hidden add-ons."

This project took silver at the New Zealand Master Landscape awards for 2023. Gareth was the Construction Foreman for this project while working for a high-end residential landscaping company in 2022.
