Patch up brick low height retaining wall - small job

Told me he can't come to price up the job that week, so I said to him no worries I can wait for you to price it up when you can come, and he never contacted me again, but just dropped the job after few weeks. Very unprofessional, but maybe I dodged a bullet there, as imagine if he started a job and then just disappeared like this.
