Detection of source of leak

In a corner of a downstairs toilet, the wallpaper has come loose, indicating a small leak whose source is a mystery. A plumber has ruled out the plumbing as a source, and it is probable that seepage occurs during/after rain. The situation has arisen over the past 6 months. I believe the amount of water is very small, but the amount of loose wallpaper is very slowly increasing. The photo shows where I previously cut through the paper in the corner to try to insert wallpaper paste behind the paper.
