Job description

Exterior Waterproofing
Wellington

Published: 9 June 2022

In really heavy downpours, the guttering/downpipe on the extension to our home is of insufficient capacity to deal with the volume of water. When that happens, the surplus flows into the roof cavity and comes down the inside of the windows. We are worried that there may also be a small leak in the roof itself (possibly where the solar panels are attached). Plus, on the outside of the roof, there seems to be a small patch of rust at one point. The roofing is Tuffcoat Satin, installed by Gerard in 2006. It should be under warranty. The attached photos show 1) the outside of the extension (with the guttering and downpipe), and 2) the inside of the affected window (with towels on the windowsill where the water was coming down!).
