Leak detection and fixing

I had a leak in the downstairs area recently after heavy rain. It seems to be coming from outside the house. A handyman has concreted and put waterproof product outside, but it seems to be moist inside again after rain. I need the source of the moisture found, and fixed. I'd like the job done in the next few weeks if possible. Thanks
