I am looking for a tradesperson to waterproof the exterior of my concrete block garage wall. The wall is 2.6 metres high and 6 metres long. I’m open to the product used but will want confidence that this will be sufficient to prevent moisture ingress. Suspect a cement/epoxy product is required. The garage was built in 1996 and this wall has never been sealed. There is moisture ingress through the bricks. This can be seen best on the interior wall photo. From what I can deduce: - It’s not a rising damp as the moisture tends to be in the middle of the wall. There is a carport in the other side with a concrete floor. Mould or lichen grows in the top third of the wall in places. - There is an internal gutter above the wall and horizontal flashing on top of the bricks. I’ve had a roofer round to look at repairing the gutter and flashing and it is their opinion that this isn’t the source of moisture. - This suggests to me that horizontal rain or runoff from the gutter on the carport next door may be the source. The garage has water and electricity connected.
