Job description

Exterior Waterproofing
Wellington

Published: 15 October 2018

We recently purchased a new house and have found the conservatory leaks in several places. The area will need to be weather proofed and will need to be relined and re-clad The existing cladding is fibre board, but rest of house is weather board. I am happy to look at both options. I am also happy to arrange painters once work is completed, either through you or independently. The roof of the conservatory is glass in multiple panels, this will need resealing to the new cladding on the lower end (silicone and flashing?). The previous owner of the house seems to have tried silicone and taping up the higher end of the glass roof - mostly on the inside?!?! This will need to be removed/clean and reflashed properly to create a weathertight seal. The guttering from the main house runs directly above the high side of the glass conservatory ceiling and will also need to be removed and rehung to provide access to reflash the top end of the glass roof and also create a drop to the nearest downpipe as I believe this is also contributing to the issues. The interior gib in the conservatory has already been removed throughout most of the area to investigate the problems - replacement and make good is not required. Conservatory area is approximately 5m x 3m.
