Fix my wall and find the leak.

Hi, I need some help, the weekend I decided to start with the prep work on the floors for one of the bed rooms in my house. When I removed the carpets and skirting's I saw that there "Was or still is" a leak, it looks like it might be coming from the chimney but I'm no expert. I need to fix the wall before I continue with my flooring project myself. I assume we will have to remove the gib to properly investigate. I need to find and stop the leak, and repair the wall.
