Fixing a leaky tiled shower

Relatively new home, and new purchase (September last year). The upstairs shower (tiled) has all of a sudden began to leak when running, through to the level below, via a light fitting. A plumber has isolate the shower as the cause of the leak, but we're unsure of the exact problem/source and the damage to the waterproofing underneath. Considering options for a new shower and waterproofing, a new perspex box shower to save the cost of retiling - it will depend on the exact issue once someone is able to have a look at it.
