Weatherproofing Bay Window

We would like a south facing bay window weatherproofed. Air and water leaks through the window frame and through the window seals. Part of the problem has arisen because a previous owner has at some point replaced the original single glaze with a Smith and Smith double glazing product which is no longer weatherproof (if it ever was). I'm uncertain about what the fix requires and am open to returning to single glaze windows. There is an area of rot in one of the frames that will need to be attended to, and the exterior framing needs to be repainted.
