Ceiling repair

I have an issue in the roof where there has been moisture coming into the ceiling cavity. I noticed this due to some moisture staining on the plaster board inside. I’ve had someone come round and cut a couple of holes in the ceiling to get a better a look into whats happening but I’m keen to get a second opinion. He took some photos which I have attached so hopefully that helps. Half the house is double story and the other half is singe. The issue occurs where the roof butts into the second story wall (if that makes sense), see photo # 8 & 9 The first priority is to stop the leak, then repair the ceiling. I’m keen to get it sorted asap. Thanks
