Entranceway cladding water proofing

Hi, I have attached comments from a builders report completed on our house. In addition to the builders report comments I have attached some photos of underneath the cladding in question. I would like someone to advise on the best way to ensure this area of our property remains water tight. The report also mentions zinc coating the cladding, if you agree this is wise can you help?
