Possible bracing needed

My living room/kitchen over time has had two walls removed and beams inserted (engineer designed) however during a cyclone last year a fine crack appeared approximately beneath where one of the beams rests in the attic. I'm wondering if some additional bracing is needed and would like some advice about that. Thanks.
