We're currently in the process of having plans drawn up for renovations, which involve removing a wall between the kitchen and lounge areas. As the house plans are older and out of date, we haven't been able to make a call on whether a wall is load-bearing or not. We've been informed that due to the truss roof system, it's likely that none of the internal walls are load-bearing, but have not got a definitive answer yet. It would be great to get a site-visit and general assessment for this, and hopefully some guidance on the best way to move forward. If the wall is not load-bearing, the architect will be able to continue with plans as normal. If it is load-bearing, we'll need to consider our options and whether we want to move forward with removing the wall.
