Building / Boundary survey

hi There I’m currently undertaking building works for my house renovation but have a small dilemma regarding one crucial boundary line on my property. We have been granted consent for the project, essentially doing internal renovations to an existing property but then extending in the form of a building addition close to the Northern boundary of the property. I want to get as close as possible to the boundary (1000mm) with the extension but have no way of actually confirming where exactly the boundary sits within a large hedge that separates mine and my neighbours property. I initially used the Auckland GIS survey download information to generate my documentation, though I’m aware it can’t be used in any legal determination should council dispute the proximity of my new wall relative to the boundary line when it’s built. I can’t find any survey pegs in the corner of the property / additionally I have reason to believe from a few site measurements that there are discrepancies in the GIS survey information and what is on my site, so there’s no way for me to verify my buildings exact position relative to the boundary. Is it possible to just get one boundary line surveyed relative to my existing house and put in to CAD for me to have as proof to the council I’m following the planning regulations for this area. If a full survey is required by law then let me know, but I’m really after the minimum to prove to council we comply. Would be interested in a price for this work, happy to send through any drawings if required. I’m hoping to avoid this, but I’m not sure how else I can prove my plans are correct.
