Pete's shed roof

Job description

Re-Roof Tin Roof
Hutt Valley

Published: 29 January 2015

I have a 2x2M shed with a 1M wide veranda on two sides. It is currently clad in cedar shingles over a plywood backing. I am getting a tradesman to replace the backing and am looking for a roofer to reroof the shed in galvanised iron. There is a steep angle between the veranda roof and the peaked roof which may require the veranda iron to be special bent upwards. I have builder ready to go to replace the backing but can be flexible on timings.

A small but tricky job. Overall, I could not be happier with the job and the costs were as quoted. Also best quote of those I obtained. Despite some small delays due to materials availability the job went ahead very smoothly and the work was to a very high professional standard. I was very impressed with some of the small things such as turning up one early evening to ensure the roof was temporarily watertight, cleaning up at the end of each day and the end of the job, and reattaching my guttering which left it better than when they started. Friendly and good communication. I can thoroughly recommend Maxwell roofing.
