Two large chimneys have been removed down to roof line on single storey villa. Quake aftershocks have now cracked the chimneys below the roof line and now they need removing down to the ceiling. Ceiling space is about 7 ft. Water is leaking through the iron roof due to quake damage so this needs repairing as well. EQC will pay up to $2000 for this emergency repair because the house is unsafe and not water tight.
