Kia ora, We have a relatively new roof (Approx 2 years old) but quite a few of the rivets holding the flashing down have snapped off. I went onto the roof with a rivet gun with the intention of replacing the loose rivets but there was more than I expected and the existing rivets are still there, just that the heads have snapped off. So the job will likely require the removal of the broken rivets and/or the drilling of new holes for new rivets. It's a bit beyond my DIY capabilities and would rather get it done properly. Our roof also makes a lot of noise as it expands on hot days. I'm not sure if this is related to the loose rivets but resolving that would be a big bonus. I've included some photos which will hopefully clarify the job. Cheers for your time, Sam
