As a result of earthquake damage, the chimney at our property in Russley (Christchurch) was carefully taken down to roof level as it was considered dangerous. There was no damage to the nearby concrete roof tiles. The gap is currently covered with a tarpaulin. A claim has been lodged with EQC and we are waiting for an assessor to visit the property. In the meantime we are prepared to have the roof "made good" and will pay for this ourselves. The scope of the job is to carry out the necessary construction work and fit new concrete tiles . The photo shows the chimney before it was removed.
