Re-work around vanity, partial bathroom update

Have installed 5yrs ago new vanity however tiling solution unworkable. Want to finish the space and have a complete and cohesive looking bathroom. Have decided to remove partial area of tiles (ie replace gib or lift tiles plastering accordingly in prep for painting). Will require removing and reinstalling vanity plus mirror. Area of one wall about --- and --- . You may have a sensible cohesive solution, ideas welcomed.
