I popped up a message on here a while ago asking for help with my bathroom – I got a referral to a young guy in my local area. I met with him – he was great. We agreed I would buy everything I needed and he would renovate my bathroom at a certain cost. I even got money from the bank for the quote he gave me. Jump forward 3 months later, the goods are still waiting at Mitre 10, and I have not heard back from him and I cant get hold of him. Plus my old bathroom is still as disgusting as it was in November when I started the conversations. I’m very disappointed. It’s a small bathroom – the bath needs to be removed, a new bath put in, with a shower screen to make it a shower over bath – so basic plumbing is needed. A new vanity installed. A new toilet installed. Some tiling in the wet areas, plus on the floor, plus some electrical work as I got a new extractor fan. Plus some basic building work to clean up the space where the bath was installed etc. Everything is purchased – just need someone to do the work for me – surely that’s not so difficult? Just an honest, quality workman is what I am after.
