Small job . To erect a perpendicular support post on the underside of the existing beam of an external staircase of my house as shown in the picture ( the final position of the post is as shown by the red line). I have the support treated timber post ( 90 mm by 90 mm ) and bracket to hold the support post in place. The bracket needs to be fixed to the concrete floor to hold the support post. The support post needs to be cut to the correct height, to fit on the underside of the beam, with the post sitting on the bracket. Need to advice also any additional screws, bolts and nuts to be purchased for the job.
