Garden Drainlaying

At the side of our house is a retaining wall with a few trees and a weed mat. Whenever it rains heavily, it overflows over the wall and floods the back of the house. I am looking to solve the flooding problem initially - in the future I am also thinking about removing the turf and covering this area so will require further work in future too. I have attached an image to show a (very basic) plan of the area and a photo of the house (the area in question is the right side of the picture).
