by surprise when digging soil away from my back wall of the house we discovered a gully trap about 700 mm below ground surface today. it was buried and the top of the trap was sealed with foam and covered with two length of wood. this was all covered by earth and sealed. This is illegal and done by previous owners I guess and it likely to cause sewer gas to enter my bathroom. this needs to be fixed urgently.
