Complete seat install so quick release functions correctly

Installed a replacement seat with a metal peg quick release system installed fine IF you have the pegs attached to the seat at install time , but as soon as you remove the seat you can't get it to lock when attached back . not being able to do this has made it impossible to instal cover plates . I want this problem solved so the cover plates can be installed and the quick release works reliably seat was a mitre 10 legacy elite. You are welcome to suggest and install your own prefered brand providing it doesn't use pegs that just pull off without a (prefer metal release button ) please only registered plumbers apply
