Another Christchurch earthquake damage. Damages are: - Garage door gets jammed up at door jamb. Corrugated tilt single garage door and mechanics seems to be fine. It appears that the frame around the door has skewed during earthquake. There used to be about 20mm gap between door and jamb, but no longer there. Possibly some carpentary work may fix it. - First floor sliding door opening out onto cantilevered balcony become quite heavy to operate, but still works. This has lead me to inspect above doors, and there is a crack on gib above the sliding doors. Looks like the lintel has pushed out the gib, causing the crack. - Various gib board and cladding damages. Mostly joints and paint opening up. Also, a furniture fell onto corrugated balustrade, causing dent. House is a 2 bedroom multi-unit, on 1st floor. An ideal contractor will organise sub-trades to fix all damages in good professional quality. Job is suspected to be under $10k, so the contractor can invoice the EQC directly for ease of transaction. Thanks Sam
