Prepare walls for painting

We are seeking someone to sand existing oil based painted surfaces and prepare existing water based painted surfaces for painting. We want to do the painting ourselves, but do not have the necessary tools or knowledge to prepare the walls for painting. The area we are talking about is 4 rooms, and two large hall way (stairs) areas. The walls have areas where the nail heads are visible under the painted surface and a few small cracks and dents in the plasterboard. Pics to follow soon.
