Fisher & Paykel top loader electrical fault

My washing machines stops working midway through the rinse process. Otherwise it works fine. I'm thinking there could be a slight electrical fault. I have a Fisher & Paykel top loader. I have got a new machine now but would like to repair the one listed above. However, I have stored it in the garage so not sure how a electrician can repair it without being connected to water supply.
