replace/ repair rotten stud

It is noticed that nogs between the studs were missing, one stud was rotten. (see the photo).It may be possible to repair this wall without affecting the GIB lining by replacing the rotten stud and inserting nogs as required. All will be covered by --- and a competent registered builder will be able to remedy the framing defects without the overside of an Engineer. If the framing is installed in accordance with NZS3604 then the council will be able to sight it and approve without the need for a letter from a Structural Engineer
