Replace exhaust fan (laundry/bathroom)

My exhaust fan connects my bathroom and laundry and it stopped working (after a few days of loud noise when was on). The fan seems to be inside a wall somewhere. I can only find the vent grill but not the actual fan. Looking for quotes to determine budget/timeline.
