Gate handle

The metal handle on my wooden gate no longer opens from the outside. I suspect it is beyond repair and needs to be replaced, in which case it will also need to be painted. I'd also like the gate painted. I have a few other odd jobs (spot painting, fixing interior window openers, replacing clearlite) that I'd like done if this job goes well.
