Job description

General Handyman Tasks
Wellington

Currently, the only manhole for ceiling access we have is at the lowest part of the roof, right above our bath tub. When it's a windy day, that manhole closure also flaps up slightly. As you can imagine, this isn't safe for anyone trying to go up to the roof to do electrical or insulation works. We've been told by one of the insulation installers that we should be able to install a much safer access in our hall way. This is the 1900s house, so it has a very tall ceiling. We'd love to: 1. Safely seal off current manhole above the bathtub, so no one can accidentally fall down it when working in the ceiling. This include interior patching and painting to pretend it was never there too. 2. Create a new manhole elsewhere safer in the house, with a more decent fittings/bracket that will not flap up on a windy day.
