boost shower hot water pressure

Hi, I am renting a flat in Wellington. It has a low pressure hot water cylinder, and this must be partly why the hot water pressure coming out of the shower is currently inadequate. I am looking into solutions to boost the pressure when having a hot shower. One thing I have come across is a shower booster pump, and I wondered if someone could give me an idea about how much one would cost around here and what it would take to install it.
