Lack of maintenance on a few aluminum windows has resulted in the hinges/windows becoming unmovable on around half a dozen windows. The windows either don't open at all, or only a few cms. Basically it looks like the rivets have become corroded on the hinges from lack of use/maintenance. A few attempts to open some of the windows have been made, but this has resulted in the rivets snapping and the window "hanging" if opened. I need to get some idea of what double glazing costs and the work it entails. The local council is offering funding for this and other things to retro fit my 1960's home and quotes will help move things along. They have recommended I get the South Windows done first in the kids room and also the lounge/dining windows because that is where the heat pump is. The work will need to be completed before April.

we live in a 1960s house and the window glass is thin. So we need to replace 80% of all the window glass. We may be needing to do this room by room depending on how much it costs. Just plain (so that it meets code) glass. we may have tinted windows at the end fo the house windows...against the harsh sun going down.

This old bathroom window was originally a slat window but glass was broken during a break in. We need someone to make a replacement window including glazing in privacy glass. The wooden frame in the wall is still good so this shouldnt be a big job to make a new wooden window to fit.... The window needs to be 445mm wide by 670mm tall to fit into the frame nicely.
