Hi I need to get someone to fix door or make solid - Needs to be made safe as has access to outside. I require a quote on repairing pane in door - no cat door required.

A few small building jobs

I have a small bathroom window that needs repairing due to rot. I also have a wooden letterbox that is too small and all the mail falls on the ground and gets wet in winter. Also the back door needs some maintenance and needs re-hanging. Basically I am looking for a builder for a few odd jobs around the house.

Re-glaze windows for insulation and privacy

Hi there, I'd like a estimate for the following: Front door - has12 panes of glass and makes our living area hard to insulate. I'd like to change the glass to double glazing or change the door if need be. Dining room windows - Two panes of glass I'd like to change so that we have privacy from a nosy neighbour. So perhaps change from clear glass to frosted, something to match the other windows in a 1910 bungalow.

Faux wood blinds job

We have a small business with some windows in the front office. One lg window appx 1.8m wide by 2.1m height and a smaller window with .75m wide and 2.1m height. Also a full window door needs tinting. Prefer faux wood blinds. Open to colour suggestion, but leaning toward wood grain.

Skylight Replacement

Hi there, We live in the upper floor of a warehouse built in the 80's. The roof at the the rear has some skylights... one of them leaks during heavy rain due to a very bad installation. We would like to replace the skylight with an opening one to get some airflow downstairs, fixing the leak at the same time and installing properly. We are in Arch Hill/Grey Lynn and would like to get this fixed ASAP before the winter rain. Thanks, Mark.

Small retro window repair or replace

Approx 81 long by 50 wide, single panel lounge window was accidently broken by a child. Hole in the glass is approx 4 cm in diameter and has resulted in cracks like sun rays from the hole. The glass itself is quite old and contains a frosted type of design. The landlord has requested the window be replaced exactly .... im not sure how this can be achieved if the glass design is obscure. Hopefully this can be just repaired. Thanks.

I would like a frame made from ali and a window attached to it and inserted in place of the old sash wooden window. Advice please..

Remove one pane of glass from double glazed windows

We have three high windows in our bathroom that have been double glazed at some stage. They are not the professional sealed double glazed units but are two panes with about a 7cm gap between them. We would like to get the inner pane removed as we get condensation and mould growing between the two panes. The inside pane looks like it is framed in. Not sure if this is a job for a builder or glazier.

Hi I'm wanting to replace two wooden bedroom windows for a brick and tile house built 1968. I know both of them are starting to rot at a join at the bottom of the window and one is not opening properly. Both windows are of the same size; measurements taken inside the width across the bottom is 152cm & height of 133cm. I'm looking at replacing them with aluminium and double glazing. Also I would like one of the other windows assessed at the same time - the brick work on the window...

We have a building consent and loan to do a major renovation at our house. We need to dig out, retain and do a change of drainage downstairs to close in stage and then (hopefully) add another level above the existing level also to close in stage. Had to delay due to an unexpected overseas trip and now all builders/foundation specialists that quoted are busy till Oct. We want to start asap!!
