Hello, I live in a small old cottage/ bach. It is my first home and a DIY project. Part of the house (the 2 bedrooms) are original and one floor sunk. The rest of the house is on a concrete pad. A builder visited and cut a hole in the floor to investigate. It turns out the original part of the house (2 bedrooms) appear to have no piles. Bricks have been placed on the soil under the house and planks put on top. The floor is very close to the ground. I have included some photos. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this situation before - rooms with what appear to be no piles and what if any options there are. I would be interested in your thoughts and whether anyone could give me a free quote outlining possible co --- area is approximately 18m2. I like the idea of fixing the house up but have become aware I need professional advice on this. I have been told if piles go in they need to meet code. With the house being very old and the two rooms being joined to the rest of the house and sitting so close to the floor, I don't know if it can be fixed to code. Some quotes would be much appreciated. Thanks
